ASP

ASP is a server side scripting language used for creating dynamic websites.
ASP is a created my Microsoft.
It is basically an add on to IIS(Internet Information Services, previously called Internet Information Server which uses Microsoft Windows to host various websites).
The default language used by ASP is VBScipt which is again a product of Microsoft.
But ASP can also use other scripting languages such as Jscript(Microsoft's version of ECMAScript(ECMA---European Computers Manufacturers Association)/Javascript(given by netscape)) by using language directive
script language="lang" runat="server"
